“Before I started working in recruitment, I was nannying for senior HR directors in the City. I had a keen interest in business and wanted to do something where I could build relationships. My husband had a client who owned a recruitment agency, and I met up with him. He soon offered me my first role, and I’ve never looked back.
“I enjoy working in recruitment. Things change all the time, which helps to keep things fresh and exciting. There are new opportunities and new things to learn every day. The thing I love about my job is building relationships, helping candidates to progress their careers, and ensuring that law firms attract the best talent.
“I also love the variety of my role and the fast-paced, busy environment in which I work. Achieving goals for myself, my team, and clients is incredibly rewarding. No challenge is the same, which keeps the job engaging at all times.
“My biggest achievement to date would be launching the senior division at my previous employer. Placing the first senior-level role and onboarding new clients were also memorable achievements, as was playing a significant role in growing the company.
“I’m an experienced recruitment consultant. I’ve worked a fast-paced temp desk and placed permanent positions up to senior level. I’m now a legal specialist, placing permanent candidates into international and UK law firms.

“As a child what did I want to be when I grew up? A teacher. My parents would say it was because I was bossy and I like to be in charge, but I think I liked the idea of teaching because I like to see results that come from helping others. I also like to talk, which certainly helps when you work in recruitment.”
