Job Description

A highly successful US law firm located in the City is looking to recruit an Associate Director Human Resources to join their London team. Reporting into the Director of Administration, the Associate Director Human Resources will provide operational and strategic HR support to the London office. Key responsibilities for the Associate Director Human Resources will include:

  • Keeping abreast of developments in employment law and best practice
  • Advising and guiding senior managers and partners on the application of UK employment law
  • Working with the Director of Administration and HR colleagues to ensure appropriate performance measurement processes are in place
  • Managing any ER issues involving business services staff
  • Managing recruitment process for business services staff, including induction and onboarding
  • Creating effective relationships with preferred recruitment agencies
  • Running the annual salary review process for business services staff
  • Overseeing the compensation and benefits strategy
  • Ensuring an effective training and development plan for business services staff and lawyers

The ideal candidate for the Associate Director Human Resources position will have strong HR experience from a law firm and will be CIPD qualified. You must have solid experience of managing ER issues and have good knowledge of UK employment law and best practice. You must have highly effective communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Highly developed time management and organisational skills are a must, as is the ability to manage a very busy workload to tight deadlines.
