Business Development Specialist - Paris
Location: Paris
Reports to: Associate Director of Business Development
We are seeking a proactive and detail driven Business Development Specialist to support our Paris office and its core practice areas, including Private Investment Funds, Restructuring and Tax. This role focuses on driving business development initiatives across France and Europe while collaborating closely with lawyers and the wider BD team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support day-to-day BD activities for Paris practice groups.
- Prepare pitches, RFIs/RFPs, and tailored marketing materials.
- Maintain up-to-date BD collateral, client lists and matter experience.
- Coordinate legal directory submissions, rankings and related marketing efforts.
- Identify and manage speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
- Support client events, analyse outcomes and provide recommendations.
- Contribute to BD calendars, newsletters and leadership updates.
- Help refine and share BD best practices across the firm.
Key Requirements
- University degree; advanced degree a plus.
- Fluent in French and English.
- 5+ years BD experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Experience with databases (e.g., PitchBook, Preqin, InterAction, Capital IQ) is an asset.
