Job Description

Our dynamic and forward-thinking US law firm client is looking to recruit a Knowledge Management Specialist to join their expanding London office. The Knowledge Management Specialist will work closely with the Library team, London PSLs, and Head of Professional Development & Training to support all the practice groups in London. Responsibilities for the Knowledge Management Specialist will be diverse, including:

  • Set up and monitor current awareness alerts and running regular reports on legal developments
  • Development of the firm's online capability, including uploading a wide range of documents to the intranet
  • Promoting Knowledge Management across the firm and designing effective ways to capture and track know-how within practice areas
  • Conducting research utilising online resources, retrieving materials quickly and effectively
  • Training lawyers and other professionals on databases and KM tools
  • Providing support to the Library Services team
  • Attending practice group and Knowledge Management meeting, acting as local Knowledge Management ambassador

The ideal candidate for the Knowledge Management Specialist role will be a law graduate, and have experience in a similar role within a law firm. You must have a good understanding of web-based technologies and be able to manage knowledge via online databases. It is essential that you are confident, a strong communicator, resilient and proactive. You will be able to build relationships and really develop buy in for Knowledge Management across the firm.
