Job Description

A prestigious US law firm is looking for a Marketing, Communications & Business Development Coordinator to join their Brussels office. Reporting in to the European Marketing and Communications Manager in London and the Brussels Office Manager, you will be responsible for maximising the firm's marketing presence in Brussels in order to further the brand and business development. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Draft, format and proofread pitches, presentations and RFPs on behalf of the Brussels partners/attorneys
  • Provides pitch assistance to the European pitch team, where relevant and necessary
  • Updates InterAction with new pitches
  • Draft and distribute press notes on behalf of the Brussels office in relation to transactions
  • Build relationships with Brussels based press and media outlets. Undertake proactive engagement with press and media outlets to identify opportunities that underscore visibility of the practice in Brussels
  • Assist with directory and award submissions - across all practice areas (Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, GCR etc..) on behalf of the Brussels office
  • Organise, coordinate and manage in-house and external client seminars, including venue selection, advising on list preparation, drafting wording and design for letters/invitations
  • Assist partners with ad hoc research and projects to further client development
  • Undertake active outreach to, and follow up with, key outlets to secure speaking roles, publication of articles and maximise the marketing presence of the Brussels partners
  • Serve as the first contact for all Brussels marketing materials (existing or to be produced), working in close cooperation with the European/Global marketing teams
  • Prepare and oversee the marketing budget for Brussels

The ideal candidate for the Marketing, Communications & Business Development Coordinator role will have previous marketing/communications experience from a law firm or other professional services environment. Fluency in English is essential and you must have excellent attention to detail, and highly effective interpersonal and communication skills. You must have strong project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting timescales and priorities. You must be able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment, and be able to work well independently and effectively within a team. You will possess a genuine interest in design and the creation of high-end, professional corporate materials, and be able to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
