Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Communications professional to take up a temporary position within the London-based Marcomms Team of a very prestigious international law firm. The duration of the contract is likely to be several months.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Conference & Event Management

  • Coordinate and organise seminars, webinars and event activities, including:
  • Coordinating the events process from timelines, ideas and delivery
  • Maintaining mailing lists, invites and responses in InterAction
  • Organising the production of marketing collateral for events, including proofreading presentations and providing recommendations to fee-earners
  • Preparing registration desk and names badges, logging attendees and running post-event reports
  • Serving as the key liaison with outside facilities, AV providers and caterers for specific events
  • Work with external providers in relation to marketing activities such as conferences and sponsorships
  • Work with the Marketing Director (EME) and the Marketing Manager (London) to ensure that lawyers obtain all necessary budgetary approvals and other internal approvals for marketing activities

Marketing Communications

  • Coordinate the directory and awards submissions process, including liaising with the relevant researchers for UK directories
  • Process LawFlashes (Client alerts)
  • Manage and coordinate mailings in conjunction with the law firm's database team
  • Prepare and update marketing collateral for the London office e.g. brochures, "one sheets" and bios
  • Prepare and update online content for the firm's internal and external sites
  • Prepare weekly and monthly London office marketing newsletter
  • Coordinate the firm's corporate hospitality relationships
  • Supporting and training fee-earners on use of tools such as LinkedIn
  • Supporting the marketing team in cross selling ensuring information is shared across teams and offices

Pitch support

  • Working alongside the Marketing Manager (London), coordinate the delivery of pitches; ensuring that the quality of pitch content and credentials is kept at a high level and maintaining the relevant marketing infrastructure and pitch base materials
  • Support and assist the Marketing Manager (London) as required or assigned including administrative support, client and market research
  • Support on ad hoc projects and reporting
  • Monitor case lists and deals lists, update relevant databases and matter lists as needed

Desirable qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, minimum 2:1 (preferably in a related humanities, marketing or communications discipline)
  • Minimum of four years' marketing or events management experience in a professional services environment
