Job Description

Ryder Reid is working with a premier US law firm to recruit an Office Manager for their expanding London office. In this busy and varied role, the Office Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the London office, including managing all HR-related issues. Key responsibilities for the Office Manager will include:

  • Managing support staff functions - reception, legal assistants, secretaries, accounts and marketing
  • Working with the Partners and Employment lawyers to identify and resolve HR issues
  • Developing and implementing UK HR policies to ensure the firm's compliance with current legislation
  • Overseeing the recruitment for legal and support staff; managing the induction process
  • Monitoring staffing levels to ensure continuous availability of appropriate resources
  • Liaising with the Law Society regarding SRA renewals
  • Coordinating the billing process
  • Managing vendor relationships; contracts and purchasing
  • Organising annual office staff events

The ideal candidate for the Office Manager role will have previous Office Management and HR experience from a busy and fast-paced corporate environment. Law firm experience is strongly preferred. You must be incredibly organised, and have the flexibility to be both reactive and proactive as required. You will be an effective communicator and able to build strong relationships with people of all levels. A high level of energy and enthusiasm are essential, and you must be hardworking and committed to providing a first class service to the partnership.
