Job Description

Our client, a prestigious UK law firm, is looking to recruit a People and Resourcing Executive - Partners to join their Talent / Recruitment team in London. Reporting into the Head of Talent for Partner, this role will provide operational support across the whole talent management and development strategy with emphasis on the "partner experience". The primary function of this team is to support the Managing Partner and Senior Partner to ensure the firm's partners experience best in class support and development to enable them to flourish as individuals and succeed collectively as a partnership.

Key responsibilities

Resourcing

  • Manages the operational day to day resourcing activity to ensure a best-in-class experience for candidates. This will include scheduling interviews, drafting recruitment briefings, liaising with agencies and managing the onboarding of new joiners
  • Understands the firm's recruitment brand and ensures all recruitment literature/websites/online material is aligned with the firm's employer brand
  • Assists with managing the recruitment preferred supplier list ensuring adherence to SLAs
  • Manages recruitment processes in line with GDPR requirements

Employee Relations

  • Assisting/organising the Partner onboarding and induction process
  • Keeps up to date with employment law to ensure that any advice given is accurate and relevant
  • Provides clear advice on firm policies and procedures when needed
  • Organises new joiner check ins / exit interviews where necessary

Inclusion and Diversity

  • Supports the Head of Talent - Partners and the I&D Manager to help deliver on the firm's I&D strategy
  • Ensures that I&D is woven into every aspect of the service and output delivered in the role

Employee life cycle

  • Supports the management of maternity / paternity cases from notification to return to the office and beyond
  • Handles meetings in a discrete, fair and confidential manner. Knows when to escalate to the Head of Talent for Partners
  • Understands and can operate the firm's HR systems to enable them to carry out the role efficiently and effectively
  • Uses reports to monitor holiday and sickness and escalates where necessary to the Head of Talent - Partners
  • Involved in developing and delivering on projects
  • Provides support with the Partner promotion process and helps to ensure that individuals are supported effectively through the process
  • Support the development of the Partner internal intranet site and is responsible for keeping the Partner pages up to date and relevant

The ideal candidate for the People and Resourcing Executive - Partners role will have experience of the London legal recruitment market. You must have knowledge of the law affecting recruitment and selection (including knowledge of the inclusion & diversity landscape and GDPR requirements), strong communication skills, and excellent time management skills. You will understand the importance of confidentiality and be able to manage a very busy workload to deadlines.
