A new exciting role is now open within the London office of a prestigious and forward-thinking international law firm consisting of over 100 employees. The Professional Development Manager will work closely with London Management Partner, Office Manager and the Professional Development team in New York on global projects and initiatives. This role is incredibly diverse being responsible for implementing and managing the delivery of professional development training for Lawyers and Partners in London and supervising, allocating workloads for counsel and associates on top of managing their evaluation process.
Furthermore, the Professional Development Manager will manage logistics involving departures and exit interviews for those leaving the firm, but also monitor trends within professional development to recommend and implement processes that will strengthen the firm's ability to develop and retain associates.
The Professional Development Manager will provide guidance when dealing with professional development and practice issues relating to career counselling for associates whilst managing advising program, advisor assignments, orientation and training. There will also be participation to contribute to the firms Diversity Committee as representative of the London office.
The successful candidate will preferably be a law graduate, a qualified solicitor, or hold a degree in an organisational development, HR or related field.
They will need to have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in professional development, with excellent written and communication skills and be able to relate effectively to stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will also have a proven ability to develop and implement programs and initiatives, to analyse and report statistical information and work independently and as part of a team.
