Job Description

Our client, a US headquartered law firm with a well-established presence in the UK, is looking to recruit a Proposal Manager for their London office. The Proposal Manager will work closely with the wider Business Development team, and lead the proposal and pursuit process globally across the non-US offices. Key responsibilities for the Proposal Manager will include:

  • Responding to RFPS and developing proposals, presentations and other pursuit materials in support of international business
  • Managing the pursuit process including development of proposal plans and strategies
  • Managing the entire proposal life-cycle including the project management, production, coordination and logistical aspects of proposal development and delivery
  • Analysing reports and related data that track new business opportunity wins/losses firmwide
  • Collects and synthesizes information from a range of sources
  • Conducts review meetings with BD Managers and partners to assess results and gather competitive intelligence
  • Leading taskforces and implementing initiatives to improve the function

The ideal candidate for the Proposal Manager role will be degree educated, and have extensive experience in proposal/pitch management, preferably from a law firm. You must have exceptional project management capabilities and first class relationship building skills, in order to develop successful relationships globally. You will be adept at working effectively under tight deadlines and be able to manage numerous competing priorities. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with experience of InterAction and online research databases being highly preferable. You will have the proven ability to lead a proposal process and have superior communication, writing, organisational, analytical and research skills.
