Job Description

Fantastic opportunity to join a premier global law firm as their Recruitment Manager. This role has a broad range of responsibilities with an emphasis on talent acquisition. The London Recruitment Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the recruitment process in the London office to ensure adherence to the firm's standards of excellence, as well as its policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Line management and development of recruitment staff, ensuring that all members of the team develop a comprehensive understanding of all departments, offices and teams - to maximise efficiency of the recruitment process
  • Management of fee earner and business support recruitment processes through the entire lifecycle, including permanent and interim hiring
  • Management of the entire graduate recruitment cycle (university outreach campaign, application process, open days, vacations schemes, assessments, offers, law school fee payment etc.)
  • Management of work experience students, pro bono placements, IDRG Interns and other ad hoc schemes
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers, Partners, the HR team and other support staff functions
  • Act as the main point of contact for all partners and line managers on all recruitment matters
  • Manage multiple recruitment channels to market, including relationships with key recruitment suppliers, market mapping providers, LinkedIn, referral program, job boards, including contractual provisions and negotiation of the same
  • Devise and implement a direct sourcing strategy
  • Responsible for the London careers page, the internal recruitment page and the firm's presence / profile on other recruitment platforms
  • Review and filter all applications which are submitted to the London office (lateral, internal and graduate)
  • Perform interviews and put forward proposals to hiring managers
  • Review and enhance the interview process, to ensure a strong conversion rate from interview to offer, and from offer to acceptance
  • Organise and run any recruitment-related training to ensure best practices
  • Improve both hiring manager and candidate experience of the recruitment lifecycle
  • Optimise the firm's recruitment methodology and expenditure
  • Participation in monthly manager meetings
  • Sit on the London Diversity Committee
  • Provide quarterly updates to London partnership
  • Manage the recruitment budget, maintain focus on cost control and seek additional approvals where relevant
  • Advise on appropriate employment law requirements and best diversity and inclusion practices and understand how these impact recruitment activities

The ideal candidate will have substantial recruitment experience within a law firm, strong operational, organizational and interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in an organization where decisions are based on a consensus approach.
