Job Description

We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic individual to provide Business Development and Marketing support to the our international law firm client's European offices in London, Dublin, Jersey and Guernsey. The role is based in their London office and is a particularly varied and interesting role working with a fast growing and dynamic team.

core duties

  • Helping to support cross-jurisdictional practice teams in the delivery of their BD & marketing activity and execution of business plans, ensuring activities are carried out to time and budget and driving client targeting initiatives.
  • Helping to lead on the coordinating of joint BD and Marketing initiatives across practice areas and offices and assisting the Regional Director of BD & Marketing in special projects particularly in the London market
  • Supporting London-specific events and BD activities and participating in our events specialist team to manage conference sponsorships, seminars, and social events across the European region, contributing to best practice
  • Delivery of directory submissions for assigned areas, project managing submissions and completing them to a high standard, on time and working towards improving rankings over time
  • Collaborating with Communications, CRM, Design and Analytical teams to ensure we are maximising our resources with regards to our BD and marketing strategy
  • Undertaking ad hoc research on markets, sectors, industries, organisations and individuals in support of European BD and Marketing
  • Leading on regular reporting on the performance of the partners' and fee earners' BD efforts by tracking activity against business plans and budgets, highlighting case successes/developments, new client and instructions
  • Project managing proposal delivery, ensuring that proposals are delivered on time and to a high quality and reporting back on results
  • Provide effective reporting with strong internal communications to convey information on the group's BD activities
  • Work with partners and designated fee-earners on the development and production of all practice area materials in line with the brand guidelines ensuring key messages are effectively communicated


  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ideally Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. InterAction) and effective CRM strategy, mailing platforms (e.g. Vuture), webinar platforms (e.g. On24),
  • Copywriting, proofreading and editing skills are also essential to this role.


  • Degree qualified or hold the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in Marketing or equivalent


  • Minimum three years' Business Development & Marketing experience gained in professional services, ideally but not essential legal services experience
  • Experience working at executive or senior executive level, experience interacting with senior stakeholders
