Job Description

Please join the busy internal communications team of our international law firm client within their Brand, Marketing & Sales (BMS) department, supporting the Senior Strategic Communications Manager and the department more widely. The role will encompass internal communications and all elements of the marketing communications mix. We have recently launched our new 3-5 year business strategy, and as a result, there will be a particular need to deliver engaging internal communications campaigns to deliver on achieving our ambitions.

Reports to: Senior Strategic Communications Manager

Duties and Responsibilities include but not are limited to the following:

  • Support our Senior Strategic Communications Manager across all activity
  • Deliver campaigns and ad-hoc activity for initiatives relating to the strategy
  • Execute internal marcomms plans to drive engagement with the strategy
  • Execute campaigns whose specific objectives are to reinforce our strategic objectives
  • Assist with/manage ad-hoc marcomms projects in support of any of the eight strategic priorities


  • Develop and implement effective internal multi-channel communications campaigns and activities, covering major change programmes, business wins, cross-selling successes, new partner arrivals, business as usual milestones and other initiatives
  • Ensure partners and employees engage with firmwide campaigns and understand each other's achievements and client offering
  • Working closely with the PR team, manage internal communications in sync with external activity as necessary - for example, partner joiners and leavers
  • Editor and journalist for intranet and principal channel for firmwide communication, scheduling and posting
  • Part of the editorial team/journalist for Edge Round-Up our weekly internal newsletter, sourcing and drafting stories with our team
  • Maintenance of our BMS intranet pages on Edge, form part of a working group on development of the home page
  • Townhalls, script writing for our Managing Partner, sourcing content from across the business, attending preparatory meetings, uploading recordings and summary to Edge
  • Executive office communications including drafting regular updates from Managing Partner and COO.
  • IT and change project communications, working with IT Communications Manager, PMO and Strategy Transformation Group
  • Proofing social media content and website profiles
  • Supporting the PR team in drafting award submissions to help build the brands across our pillars and practices
  • Inclusion & Diversity/CSR communications, support each workstream during its six month focus. Ad hoc comms support
  • Completing internal communication reports for our Executive Committee (EXCO) and Partnership Executive team (PEX)
  • Copyediting and proofing publications including our key publications such as the Annual Insurance Review and Retail Compass
  • Drafting internal comms elements for all our major campaigns with our Campaigns Manager
  • Managing the calendar of lock screens for the firm, briefing work into Design and getting sign off from relevant parties
  • Digital signage, working as part of a team across IT, Design and Marketing to deliver and schedule regular content
