The Senior PR Manager will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering the firm's strategic communications and public relationships initiatives in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East. Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, you will be responsible for enhancing the firm's brand presence, promoting key messages and points of differentiation, and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders and target media. You will be supported by a communications manager and two PR executives.
The Senior PR Manager is a high-profile role with direct exposure to the executive leadership team and a broad range of colleagues across the international firm. As well as technical excellence, you will need to demonstrate outstanding communication, stakeholder management, influencing and diplomacy skills.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Strategic PR: Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies for each priority sector group and core practice area that align with their business objectives and enhance their market positioning.
Media relations: Build and nurture strong relationships with target journalists, editors and media outlets and support the senior leadership team and key sector and practice leaders in developing and maintaining their own relationships.
Content: Maintain close relations with colleagues in the Marketing team and ensure that marketing content is leveraged to support PR strategies, optimising the firm's major strategic and thought leadership campaigns, and showcasing expertise and accomplishments to the media.
Digital PR: Work with and through the firm's Digital team to leverage all available digital platforms and social media to amplify PR activity and engage target audiences with our client work and other success stories.
Crisis management: Collaborate with colleagues to develop reactive plans and be the point of contact for media enquiries during and relating to sensitive situations. Mitigate reputational risks where necessary and maintain transparency in communication.
Awards and league tables: Oversee the Communications Manager in co-ordinating and managing submissions for all target awards and league tables.
People leadership: Be an inspiring and supportive line manager, defining responsibilities and objectives and setting clear direction and high standards, while allowing individuals space to shape their roles and approaches to best leverage and develop their skills.
Measurement and reporting: On a day-to-day basis, ensure that relevant coverage is shared with stakeholders in a timely way. On an ongoing basis, track the success of PR campaigns and initiatives, analysing media coverage, sentiment and other relevant metrics and identifying learnings to refine future PR initiatives. Budget management: Manage the external communications budget effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated wisely and in line with the firm's and BDMC's strategic objectives.
Industry monitoring: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and PR best practices to identify and recommend opportunities for enhancing the firm's approach to PR.
