“I’m an experienced leader in education who has successfully moved into legal recruitment. A friend helped me to realise that I had the right skills, personality and work ethic to succeed in legal recruitment. The skills I gained in education are proving very useful so far.
“Shortly before joining Ryder Reid in 2021, I wrote tenders and government funding applications for SMEs in numerous sectors. I was also project leader for a Liverpool-based charity that supported ex-offenders and disadvantaged young people into full-time employment through the government’s Kickstart scheme.
“At Ryder Reid, I’m responsible for legal marketing and business development recruitment in London, as well as increasing our presence in the North West. Ryder Reid’s approach to recruitment is unique. We focus on ‘People-First Recruitment’. This isn’t just a sound bite, it’s lived out each day through the work of our fantastic consultants. It’s embedded into staff induction and reinforced continually by our leadership team and our systems and processes.
“I’m very passionate about recruitment, and that passion continues to grow. My biggest achievement to date is three placements in one month, including one international position. I’m motivated by a desire to help people to find roles that inspire them and enable them to develop their careers in a positive and meaningful way, while advising law firms on how they can fill their teams with outstanding talent. I love the energy and excitement of my job, as well as the camaraderie among our dynamic team.
“As a child, what did I want to be when I grew up? A professional footballer… But, more realistically, I just wanted to get great satisfaction from my work, have a loving family, make great friends and find happiness in life.”
