“I joined Ryder Reid in 2010, it was my first job in recruitment and I’ve loved every second here. I’ve covered several desks, including all temporary business services roles, as well as recruiting lawyers and paralegals, so I have a strong understanding of how law firms operate.
“What do I enjoy about recruitment? My role always feels new, because no two days are the same. I thrive from working in a fast-paced environment and love helping people find their dream job – it’s very rewarding.
“I started at Ryder Reid in an administrative role and quickly progressed into a consultant role. Rising to become Head of Business Services is my proudest professional achievement to date.
“A lot of my time is dedicated to meeting and registering candidates to ensure that we understand them and get the best match for our clients. My job also involves keeping in touch with clients and candidates, sourcing candidates for live roles and submitting CVs to clients.
“The fact that we have long-standing staff members really sets Ryder Reid apart. Clients love that, because it enables them to build a strong relationship with the same consultant, while we retain a real understanding of our clients’ true needs. With that, over time, comes trust, and they respect and value our opinions.
“It’s an enjoyable environment here and it doesn’t feel like work most days. I like the variety my job provides and you never know what challenge you’ll face next, which keeps it fresh and exciting.
“As a child, I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up; maybe a vet or a footballer when I was very young. A family friend who owned a recruitment agency once told me that I’d make a good recruitment consultant, ‘because you don’t stop talking’. He must have been right!”
