Andrea Prendergast joined Ryder Reid Legal in 2008 bringing with her a wealth of recruitment experience. Andrea started her career in 2001, recruiting support staff within the Legal, Finance & Property sectors. In 2007, she transferred to specialise and recruit solely for Law firms across London and Europe. Andrea’s ability and commitment saw her become a Director of Ryder Reid in 2011 with responsibility for building the Executive Search division. This department specialises in the recruitment of Senior Management and Executive Level positions within Office Management, Marketing, HR, Risk & Compliance, Finance and IT. Andrea’s experience means that she is the “go to” person to assist our clients with high-level, board, committee and Director level roles often requiring a high degree of confidentiality and executive search methods. In 2018, Andrea became Co-Managing Director alongside Callum Smith and is jointly responsible for the overall running of Ryder Reid Legal.

Callum Smith joined Ryder Reid Legal in December 2006 as a recruitment consultant on the Interim Legal Division. During this time, Callum was instrumental in the growth of the department and the supply of contract lawyers and Paralegals in relation to electronic document review for litigation and arbitration matters. In 2011, Callum decided on a career change and took on the role as Office Manager overseeing the day-to-day operations. Callum continued to build his career and moved into a Business Manager role whereby he utilised his strong financial and analytical skills whilst supporting and providing business strategy advice to the founders of Ryder Reid Legal. In 2018, Callum became Co-Managing Director alongside Andrea Prendergast and is jointly responsible for the overall running of Ryder Reid Legal.

Steve Cooper

Associate Director - Business Support

Steve Cooper has been working in legal recruitment since 1996. Initially, Steve recruited for UK law firms before finding his niche recruiting solely for the US market in 2000. He joined Ryder Reid Legal in 2003 where his extensive experience and impressive track record has ensured that he has continued to flourish within the US and International legal market. Steve's in-depth knowledge means he has a great understanding of how they work, the culture and an appreciation of the calibre of candidates required to be a success. Steve has a very transparent approach to recruitment which is popular with both clients and candidates alike and, over the years, has developed expert knowledge in the recruitment of Paralegals/Legal Assistants and Business Support staff. Steve became an Associate Director of Ryder Reid Legal in 2018.

Gemma Coyston

Gemma Coyston is an experienced consultant who has been working with Ryder Reid Legal for many years and is one of the primary Consultants in Ryder Reid’s highly regarded Interim Legal Division. She recruits Contract Lawyers and Temporary Paralegals for purposes of eDiscovery and document review. Gemma also recruits Fixed Term Contract Paralegals and Permanent Paralegals to work as generalists across various practice areas. She is highly skilled in sourcing and identifying suitable candidates for even the most challenging of requirements. Gemma’s dedication and perseverance means that she always produces positive and quick results. She is building a strong reputation in the Interim Legal market and has excellent working relationships with both clients and candidates alike.

Keira Couzens

Consultant - Legal Division

Keira Couzens joined Ryder Reid Legal in 2010 - progressing quickly through different divisions at Ryder Reid and now is one of the primary consultants on our Interim Legal Division. Keira has made full use of her organisational and people skills and is very popular with candidates and clients alike due to her excellent response times and her willingness to offer a 24/7 service. She gives 100% to every task with no client requirement being too difficult - indeed she relishes a challenge. Keira’s current remit is to recruit Contract Lawyers and Temporary Paralegals for purposes of eDiscovery/document review. She also recruits Fixed Term Contract Paralegals and Permanent Paralegals to our law firm clients. She has certainly earned her place as a senior member of the Ryder Reid team.

Evie Perry

Evie Perry

Consultant - Legal Division

Evie Perry joined Ryder Reid Legal in early 2015 and quickly demonstrated a natural aptitude for recruitment. She now works as a Consultant in the Interim Legal Division alongside Keira Couzens and Gemma Coyston and is an integral member of the team. Evie dedicates a large portion of her time to sourcing new contract lawyers and paralegals as well as building strong relationships within the candidate market. She has excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong time management which means that she can respond promptly and efficiently to client requests. As with the other members of this team Evie is contactable 24/7. Evie continues to expand her knowledge of the International legal market and we have no doubt she will continue to develop and progress in her career at Ryder Reid.

Neil Gibbs

Neil Gibbs joined Ryder Reid Legal in 2015 after spending seven years providing UK and International law firms with recruitment services for London based business and professional support staff. His move to Ryder Reid Legal was a natural progression given his reputation for high-quality search and selection and the calibre of candidates required by US law firms in London. Neil’s exceptional UK and US legal sector knowledge helps provide his clients and candidates with expert advice and confidence in his opinion relating to their recruitment and business needs. In 2019 Neil began focusing in Finance and IT having spent years successfully placing these roles when covering other consultants. Neil now covers vacancies including Accounts / Finance Assistants, Cashiers, Billers, Accounts Payable, IT Assistant’s, 1st, 2nd, 3rd line IT Helpdesk Analysts, Application Developers / Engineers, IT Trainers, Test Analysts and Business Analysts. His dedication, perseverance and excellent response time have meant he is the perfect match for this division.

Gavin Coleman

Gavin Coleman's recruitment career started in 2012 after spending fifteen years in corporate and private banking for some of the world's leading banks in London, and seven years within the recruitment industry mainly focussing on all levels of business support staff. Gavin is perfectly positioned to help source great talent and place candidates. He will be working with the Business Support team specialising in placing Legal PA, Secretaries, Facilities and Reception staff in both US and international law firms across London.

Gavin has a proven market record in professional business support services and possesses sound technical knowledge that enables him to provide excellent service to both clients and candidates alike.

Tori Carter recently joined Ryder Reid Legal, bringing with her a wealth of first-class customer service experience. After training on all three Divisions, Tori quickly demonstrated a natural flair for recruitment, and has now joined the Business Support Team as a Consultant, where she will work closely alongside Steve Cooper and Gavin Coleman to place Legal PA, Secretaries, Facilities and Reception staff in both US and international law firms across London.

Personable, positive and proactive, Tori has already begun building an excellent rapport with our candidates, and after achieving early resourcing success, we have no doubt that Tori will establish herself as a go-to Ryder Reid Consultant for our Clients’ Business Support needs.

Consultant - Temporary Business Support

Ryan Rand joined Ryder Reid in 2015 as an Apprentice and in 2016 he passed his NVQ level 2 exams in Business Administration. He quickly learned the art of candidate resourcing and headhunting and after his first year was promoted to Assistant Consultant, working alongside and supporting our Business Support Team. Ryan continues to develop and has been responsible for sourcing some excellent Business Support candidates for the team. After working alongside our experienced Business Support team consultants, Ryan has gained comprehensive knowledge and now heads up the Temporary Business Support desk, providing high calibre temporary employees to our US and International clients for both short term and long term assignments.

Kate Gallagher is a Law LLB Graduate, who started her recruitment career in a large educational agency sourcing teachers and support staff. After 2 years within the education sector, she welcomed the opportunity to move into the legal recruitment market and joined Ryder Reid in 2014. After several years working as a successful Consultant within our Business Support & Finance Division, Kate’s role has progressed and she now recruits for senior roles including Executive Search for HR, Marketing, IT, Finance and Compliance alongside Andrea Prendergast, Kerry Channing and Laura Lucia. Kate has an excellent knowledge of the legal market and is able to build strong relationships with both clients and candidates.

Kerry Channing started her recruitment career in 2007 as a consultant in the City specialising in sourcing Legal Business Support Staff. She subsequently moved out of Legal to broaden her experience and gain insight into a different market - again working on general support roles but for private equity and investment management firms. She recruited for a wide spectrum of positions there, from executive assistants to marketing and senior management roles. However, Kerry missed the legal market and was delighted to join Ryder Reid Legal in 2012. Kerry recruits for senior roles including Executive Search for HR & Marketing positions, alongside Andrea Prendergast, Laura Lucia and Kate Gallagher. Her professional, personable manner and natural tenacity allows her to achieve the best outcome for clients and candidates alike.

Laura Lucia joined Ryder Reid in 2011 and after several successful years working as a Consultant within the Interim team, transferred to our Business Support Division where she focussed on Business Support roles, including Legal Secretarial, Reception, Paralegals and Facilities. Laura’s attention to detail, strong sense of ethics and excellent working relationships with clients and candidates alike meant this was a smooth transition. She also has a very good understanding of the needs of International law firms and our various client cultures. Laura’s role has recently progressed and she now works on senior roles including Executive Search for HR & Marketing positions, alongside Andrea Prendergast and Kerry Channing.

Hattie Wilkinson recently joined Ryder Reid Legal after relocating back to London from South Devon, where she setup and operated a number of specialist event-catering businesses. Before embarking on her journey as an entrepreneur, Hattie read Law and Politics at University, and her keen interest and familiarity with the Law and Business makes her an ideal fit as a Ryder Reid Legal Consultant.

Hattie now works on the Executive Search Desk, with a focus on the junior-level permanent roles including: Business Development, Marketing, Communications, Events, Human Resources and Recruitment. A natural problem solver with a professional attitude and excellent communication skills, Hattie offers an exceptional consultative service to clients and candidates alike.

Brian’s position within Ryder Reid Legal is to support each team in managing their workloads, specialising in making strong and lasting connections with high quality candidates looking to progress in their career. Brian started his recruitment career in 2015, specialising in the construction and HGV industries, however he feels most at ease liaising with candidates and creating a good rapport to establish firm relationships. He began his career at Ryder Reid in February 2019 as a Candidate Consultant and is looking forward to gaining expertise from the established consultants within Ryder Reid. He already possesses excellent communication skills and is highly personable so shows excellent potential and a great fit for the team at Ryder Reid.

Conor Sweeney

Conor’s role at Ryder Reid Legal is a Resourcer for the Executive Search Team. Conor manages the team’s internal systems including their databases, seeking out candidates whilst assisting with creating advertisements for roles on social media platforms. Conor uses his extensive experience in the realm of administration, having spent the subsequent years after studying at the university of Greenwich in the civil service starting 2016 bouncing between multiple departments.

Rae Painter initially joined Ryder Reid Legal in 2015 assisting the Managing Directors. After 8 months Rae decided to relocate back to Australia, but returned to Ryder Reid Legal in 2018 as the Office Manager working closely with Andrea, Callum and the Consultants on day to day operations. Rae oversees our team of administrators and resourcers, and in addition Rae also deals with HR, Facilities, Staff and Client Events and IT procedures. Rae has exceptional communication and organisational skills and ensures the smooth day to day running of the Ryder Reid Legal office.

Georgia Dorrington

Office and Accounts Coordinator

Georgia Dorrington joined Ryder Reid in 2017 as an Accounts and Payroll Administrator, with a background in working in finance within the recruitment sector. Georgia is responsible for the daily running of the finance department, ensuring that the payroll and invoicing runs smoothly for the business. Georgia also works closely alongside the Office Manager Rae to help assist with ad-hoc requirements necessary. In 2019, Georgia progressed in her role to Office and Accounts Coordinator, with additional responsibilities including client liaison and supplier negotiation.
