“I’m a logical thinker with a strong analytical mind, having spent 35 years as a finance director. My role at Ryder Reid involves supporting our specialist executive search team, helping colleagues to find the best talent for our law firm clients in London, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

“Day to day, I update talent pipelines for our consultants by researching, resourcing and market mapping. My area of expertise is C-suite, director and management across HR, operations, finance and risk. I enjoy identifying talented people and then seeing them go on to secure their dream job, it’s really satisfying.

“What sets Ryder Reid apart from its competitors? Definitely its people. They really do care about providing an exceptional service to clients and candidates. Having worked as an FD in the corporate world for most of my working life, the candidate and client experience is superior at Ryder Reid.

“I enjoy the flexibility I get at Ryder Reid. Being semi-retired, I can work my hours flexibly, so I can enjoy my retirement, while keeping the cogs turning. While I enjoy being semi-retired, I like to keep my mind active. I can work flexibly yet still put my analytical skills and experience to good use.

“My biggest achievement to date? Raising my two children on my own while studying part-time at night school. I went on to work my way up the corporate career ladder to become an FD at an international import company.

“As a child I had ambitions to be a maths teacher, because I love numbers. Having married young and having had two children, I went to night school and studied accounting, which led me to my career as a finance director.”
