“I’m just about to finish my CIPD Level 5 Diploma in people management, human resources and services, which will be particularly helpful to me working on the HR desk at Ryder Reid, because I share this qualification with many of the candidates I speak to.

“Every day in recruitment is different, but during an average day I spend my time connecting with candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting prep calls with candidates to set them up for upcoming interviews. I’m also building relationships with law firm clients while working on business development.

“What sets Ryder Reid apart? We’re true to our values, as shown by our continued success in the market. Ryder Reid continues to be a market leader that continually delivers a truly excellent service to both law firms clients and candidates.

“The people who work here are amazing and even though we all work hard, it doesn’t feel like work at all. I really enjoy connecting and meeting with amazing candidates and clients, it really makes my job enjoyable. I’m very chatty, so having a job where I essentially get to talk to people all day is a win for me. I also love how every day is different.

“The diversity of the day-to-day work, the people you meet and the great satisfaction that comes from finding someone their dream role are all key reasons why I want to work in recruitment. Previously, I worked in hospitality management, but I really enjoyed the HR and recruitment work I did in that role, which is why I wanted to go into recruitment. I was then lucky enough to be offered an opportunity to work at Amazon recruiting for new graduates in Spain and France and I haven’t looked back since.

“Making the move to London from Dublin has been one of my biggest personal achievements to date. I wanted to do it for so many years and feel so happy now that I’m here.

“As a child, what did I want to be when I grew up? A doctor, but I’m prone to fainting when I see blood, so it wouldn’t have worked out.”
