“Having previously worked in retail for six years, I decided to move into recruitment, which would allow me to use my people skills in an office environment. At the start of my recruitment career I ran a busy temps desk, before transitioning to permanent business-support recruitment.
“Gaining experience early on in a busy environment has ensured that I can work quickly and accurately within permanent placements. On an average day at Ryder Reid I’m involved in placing all permanent business-support candidates within our legal division, as well as prospecting for new business.
“What do I love most about my job? Getting the opportunity to meet new people every day, whether candidates or clients. I also love helping candidates to find new roles and supporting our clients to ensure that they recruit the people they need.
“Getting the chance to help people is really rewarding, while every day is different and I enjoy the rollercoaster ride of the recruitment process. My greatest career achievement to date is winning number two top-biller permanent recruiter within a global recruitment agency.
