The role

Introducing a newly established role as People and Workforce Manager, where you will collaborate closely with associates, partners, and the global Attorney Development and Practice Management teams.

In this role, you will collaborate with the team to supervise staffing/work allocation, performance management, and utilisation, while implementing strategies to retain associates. Additionally, you will closely partner with Human Resources, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Learning & Professional Development teams to ensure a positive and inclusive experience encompassing training, development, coaching, integration, onboarding, retention, performance management, and career transitioning.

Key duties

  • Work allocation - manage the work allocation for the associates and analyse and report on capacity for workload forecast planning.
  • DEI - facilitate the Firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategy and objectives by engaging in outreach efforts with attorneys and advocating for DEI-sponsored initiatives and events.
  • Training & Development - work in collaboration with the Learning and Professional Development team and firm leadership to identify training requirements and propose program concepts for training curricula focused on legal and professional skills, thereby supporting the development of core competencies among attorneys.
  • Performance management - gain proficiency in utilising tools, processes, and strategies essential for the effective execution of the attorney performance management process.

Key requirements

Law firm experience is preferred along with previous experience in workforce planning and development.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to effectively manage projects and tasks including demonstrating delegation and organisational skills.
